The chemical branch of the Group is represented by the companies, which produce industrial plasticizers and anhydrides.

In particular, these companies produce phthalic and maleic anhydrides and plasticizers for chemical, mechanical rubber and other industries.

The key competences of these companies are production and sale of DOP (dioctylphthalate) and DINP (diisononyl phthalate) plasticizers.

Dioctylphthalate (DOP) is a strategic raw material for polyvinylchloride processing enterprises as well as for manufacturers of mechanical rubber goods and coating materials. It is widely used as a plasticizer for vinyl polymers, resins and rubbers, for the production of synthetic leather, in the manufacturing of cold-resistant rubber products, polymer construction materials, packaging films, wallpaper etc.

Diisononyl phthalate (DINP) ) is used as a total or partial DOP substitute in the manufacturing of various PVC plastic compounds. In particular, it is used for the production of all types of plastic compounds (shoe and cable plastic compounds, resin plastisols, floor cloth, films, etc.)

Dioctylphthalate and diisononyl phthalate are poured into aluminium and steel rail tank cars (60 tons) and tank trucks (22 tons), plastic drums or barrels with the capacity of 250 kg and more for storage and transportation.

The available process capabilities allow increasing production capacity and expanding the range of plasticizers, in particular, by introducing an additional production flow chart.

The chemical enterprises of the Aurum Group also produce phthalic and maleic anhydrides and their varieties.

Phthalic anhydride is an important raw material for the production of various derivatives of phthalic acid, esters, phthalimide, phthalonitrile etc. Plastic manufacturers and paint and coatings manufacturers regularly use phthalic anhydride for plasticizers production. The anhydride is used in aviation fuel, in the manufacturing of colouring agents, medicinal drugs and oil additives. It is also used in rubber and tire production as an antiscorcher. Another use of the anhydride is the production of plasticizers, which, in turn, are used for the manufacturing of floor cloth, cables and shoes, etc.

Manufactured products:

Phthalic anhydride (top product of distillation) is used in the production of alkyd resins, varnishes, plasticizers as well as in other organic synthesis processes.

Phthalic anhydride (commercial-grade) is used in the production of plasticizers, alkyd resins, colouring agents, medicinal drugs and polyester resins as well as in the rubber industry.

Phthalic anhydride (bottom product of distillation) is used in the production of plasticizers, anti-corrosive materials, rubber and tire industry.

Maleic anhydride is used in the production of polyester resins, surface-active materials, coating materials, epoxy hardeners, fumaric acid and D, L-aspartic acid.

The enterprises produce phthalic anhydrid of A grade and pack it into bags of 50 kg net weight on pallets of 500 kg net weight. Maleic anhydride of grade A is poured into rail tanks with electrical heating of 40 tons net weight.

The production capacities of the Aurum Group enterprises make it possible to produce up to 20,000 tons of chemical products per year.
